Q: What materials do you use for prototyping and low-volume production?
For prototyping, we use real plastic blocks, which more closely resemble molded production parts compared to 3D printing.
For the machining parts, we use the material you specify in your drawing.
For machined parts, we use the materials specified in your drawing.
Q: What guarantee do you have?
If you find any defects in the delivered parts within one week of receiving them, JLFY will cover the cost of replacement parts or provide a refund.
Q: What is the lead time of a prototype and tooling trial sample?
For prototyping/machining, it can be one day.
For tooling, the first trial time can be one week.
As a matter of fact, it depends on the complexity of the part design.
Q: How to make payments? You can use bank transfer (TT), PayPal.
Q: How do you ship the parts?
We offer courier, air freight, or sea freight options for shipping.
We accept prepayment or collection charges as payment methods.
Q: How can I have my documents kept confidential? We can sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) with you, and all our employees are authorized to maintain confidentiality for our company.
Q: Why the shipping cost by express is much more than I estimated?
When estimating the cost, you always used the approximate weight for calculation. However, express services calculate the final weight using the formula: length (L) x width (W) x height (H) / 5000.
Here’s a typical example to help with understanding: when a product has large dimensions but is light, we need to use a large carton to package it. In the eyes of the courier, they will ignore the actual weight and focus only on the volume of the large carton to charge more.
So, take this situation into account in advance.
Q: People say that production costs in China have increased significantly in recent years. Is that true?
Yes, it's true.
As China's economy grows, engineers and workers deserve better pay. For large volume jobs that used to rely on a lot of labor and are now handled by automated production lines, Chinese pricing isn't as attractive as it used to be.
However, for low volume jobs that require skilled engineers and labor, such as prototyping, tooling, and machining, Chinese pricing remains competitive.
Why not send us an RFQ to evaluate our quote?
Q: How could we get samples?
For molding jobs and large-volume machining jobs, we can send you samples for approval and will begin production once you approve them. For prototyping and small-volume machining jobs, we do not send samples in advance.
All the shipping costs will be paid by your side.
Q: How do you check the quality of a prototyping job?
We will send you pictures for visual inspection and a video for functional demonstration.
Q: Is it possible for me to get payment terms of Net 30 days?
Yes, it's possible. It depends on our evaluation result of your history orders.
